Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame is the movie event of the year. It’s a love letter to the diehard fans of the past decade, and it works. It’s the perfect ending to an anthology of wonderful stories.

Hellboy is a Gory, Violent Mess that Still Entertains

Expectations are fickle fiends. Especially for movies. It gets even harder when a remake is brought on after a successful first iteration. Oscar-winning visionary director Guillermo Del Toro made two delightfully fun Hellboy movies, starring the charming Ron Perlman. The character didn’t really need a reboot, but the world got one anyway. The new Hellboy (2019), directed by Neil Marshall and starring David Harbour, is not as terrible as everyone says.

My Journey from « Iron Man » to « Avengers: Infinity War »

A lot has happened in the last decade. For starters, I had way more hair, Facebook was in the news for less nefarious reasons, and I was just still living with my parents. Let’s see….What else…. Oh yes. A trenchcoat clad Samuel L. Jackson said two simple words: “Avenger’s Initiative”. Does anyone remember how they felt when they heard those two words? I do, and they were magical and promising. My young brain couldn’t imagine the effect they would have.

This phrase cannot have more meaning than with the creation of this movie. When you mix an iconic character with two powerhouse movie studios, you can get a disastrous result. Who knew that we’d end up with a wonderful Spider-Man movie?
